Buchanan Street in sun

This photo represents an antithesis of the way I live these days. The sun is shining, Buchanan Street is busy, the shops are all open (apart from the ill-advised new ones at the top of the street), the sun is shining. It was fun, it was actually perishing cold, and it was exhausting. We walked 3 miles in all during a shopping visit, marching along at our usual brisk pace (my pal and I don't do strolling), and accomplished all but one of our combined goals. (The perfect trouser is an elusive creature).

An hour later we were on the bus for home as it pulled out of Buchanan Street bus station - just as it began to snow. Maybe not so different after all ...
