Ancient Scots Jewels

Another Switch to Manual workshops this morning in dreich weather (thanks again MetOffice for being so inaccurate). Walking down the Royal Mile are many artisan shops selling traditional hand-made wares - this wasn't one of them. A £2 piece of tartan held together by a £1 piece of jewellery and sold to a poor tourist for £30. I wonder why the recession hardly hit Edinburgh?
