The Lozarithm Lens

Rain

It rained heavily all day, so hard that the road to Sandy Lane was flooded, and at Lozarithm Mansions the rain leaked through the conservatory roof and tripped the main RCD so that I was without power for half an hour.

I did get out to the shops this evening and had a look at the ducks on the riverbank behind the supermarket. That's my camera bag on the bench beside the river.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Beatles - Rain (1966)
Rain (Wikipedia page about the Beatles' song)
Although Beatle records were credited to Lennon and McCartney all but the earliest were written in the main by one or the other and their singles usually contained one by each, with both competing for the A-side. Rain is a Lennon song, relegated to the flip of Paperback Writer, and comes from the same sessions as their album Revolver, when they were becoming increasingly experimental in the studio. Paperback Writer came out prior to the album and the backward tapes and manipulatd vocal effects on Rain gave an indication of what could be expected. It was one of their finest B-sides, with Ringo's phenomenally creative drum patterns being particularly effective.
