Exmoor View

I was on an 8 mile walk with the local walking group on this very cold day. It was snowing lightly when we set off and persisted throughout the day. The aim of the day was to visit Snowdrop Valley and to do a walk onwards to Dunkery Beacon the highest point on Exmoor.

We wandered through Snowdrop Valley with blankets of snowdrops glistening in the snow.  Some photos are in extras of this area although I could have done with more time and a tripod to do it justice.  Then it was on to Dunkery Beacon.  The blip shows a view as we were heading for the beacon looking backwards.  Dunkery Beacon was however very bleak and the sky leaden, no views from there today, see extras.  It was then a quick scamper back through woodland to a welcome cream tea in the local pub.

An atmospheric days walk.
