Ti kouka berries......

......once a flowering spike bearing thousands of tiny white flowers are now becoming the fruits of the cabbage tree, changing colour from green through cream to cream/blue as they ripen. Who will come to the feast, blackbirds, starlings and waxeye's, there will be many squabbles way up high in the branches of the Ti kouka tree.

Another from my New Zealand flora series.

It's been a slow day......party over the fence last night with lots of really bad singing, three sets of fireworks let off between midnight and 3am, migrating laughter and general noise from inside to outside before settling at 4.30am, hubby slept through the lot - lucky him! Nevermind they had fun I guess and it only happens a couple of times a year, thankfully........

A tired, hot, windy Sunday :)
