Another dreich day...

...in the Pennines...
We waved John off into the snow, then retraced some of our steps from yesterday ( but in the car ) to catch these old railway goods carriages up on a local farm. They were bought as cattle sheds when the railways sold them off, but fell into disuse long ago. One is burnt out completely, the other is hanging on by a thread - you can see the snow getting into the hole where the roof should be! The old barn looks pretty derelict too - but the farm is still occupied.
