History

Took Odd for a walk up Signal Hill this morning after dropping off the kids.
At the top is a monument marking the centennial of NZ. This imposing chap is "History." On the other side is a lady who represents the "Thread of Life." Sadly the local idiots seem to have something against her so she wasn't looking her best.

I've broken my 18-55mm lens which I'm gutted about. Somehow it must have been squashed in its bag and now its a bit floppy when zoomed out. Still seems to work but its not right... I have been thinking of buying a 35mm 1.8G but now may need to replace my wide zoom. Any advice?
