Sgwarnog: In the Field

Sleet

At Ilkley Station the pigeons were having a duvet day and with the sky and streets full of sleet, who could blame them.

But duvet days tend to lead to hangovers of one sort or another, so a few hours out is always necessary medicine, whatever the weather. A modest excursion a few stops up the line to Ilkley is always a stand-by for dreary Sundays.

For form's sake I headed down to the river and sheltered under the bridge with the ducks for a bit (extra). They weren't impressed that I hadn't brought any lunch and short of performing penguin-like miracles with my morning porridge I had to leave them disappointed. Ilkey was relieved.
