A Colourful Collection of Burmantofts Pottery

We headed over to Saltaire this morning with the intention of a stroll along the canal towards Bingley. When we arrived in Saltaire, we were greeted with sleet and snow.  Suddenly the 'Salts Diner' in Salts Mill seemed a much nicer place to be, so the walk was curtailed abandoned in favour of an early lunch and cake.
In view of everything outside being grey, I opted for some colour for today's blip. These colourful pots are from the Burmantofts Pottery in Leeds which produced ceramics from around 1881 for about 20 years.
There are many interesting things in the Mill to see, including David Hockney's 'The arrival of spring' collection - well worth a look.
Today's extra shows the rather grey and wet weather through one of the mill's windows.
