Arctic Fox

This is a beautiful tall masted sailing ship with wooden hull and wheelhouse, leaving the Beauly Firth to go under The Kessock Bridge, heading for the Moray Firth and the North Sea. It had just emerged from the Caledonian Canal having come from the west coast.
Using the Caledonian Canal between Banovie ( Fort William) and The Muirton Basin ( Inverness) saves the long journey round the north coast of Scotland and the notorious Pentland Firth, where it can be very choppy seas and a lot of sailors take the shorter trip as with the Arctic Fox.
