What a mad day!  The Current Mrs Creel went into Kirkwall and bought herself a magazine; however a self-improving knitting magazine.  She also spent her entire voucher on a dress.   Because I was engaged on St Valentine’s Day - I was such a young thing - she bought me a reserve bottle of Linkwood.  Superb.  She then gave me a new wedding ring.  It is inscribed with ‘Health and Happiness’ in runes.  Whatever next - and all this on a Tuesday too.

I lifted a few carrots and parsnips and carried out some light DIY in the shed.  Now the fire is lit and the kettle is singing.
