Runua lakialta at Pihatto

Opening of my exhibition at Gallery Pihatto in Lappeenranta.
Poetry meets photography.

”Runua lakialta” means Poetry from the expanse. In my exhibition I combine my photos with poems written on dialect that is used in (southern) Ostrobothnia on Finnish west coast where the land is flat and people are staightforward and harsh.

I write the poems myself.
This particular poem goes (somewhat) like this:

At spring feast
of our youngest one
my old lady and her sis
wondered
where do the years go.
For once I kept my mouth.
Thinking by myself;
As annual rings.
On the waist.
