Fionna, Jake and Tilly

This is an old picture of Tilly with Jake and Fionna(blue/yellow), which was taken when we first adopted them last year! Fionna passed unexpectedly passed away yesterday, we are both really upset about this, especially given how well she seemed! It seemed like she passed away peacefully, shr was just sitting in the bottom of the cage! I wish we had noticed something was up with her, budgies are so good at hiding illnesses, which make it difficult, but I feel bad none the less! She was a funny girl, she loved to go down and hang out with the bunnies, drinking their water and following them around, she was fun to watch! Fionna was our last budgie, and we have agreed that she will be our last! We were lucky to have Tilly for eight years, which I think made up forget how fragile budgies can be! In the last year we lost Feathers to a seizure, Tilly to a respiratory infection, Jake to a tumour, and now Fionna to a mysterious cause, like Murdoch a few years before! We went and bought a nice plant today, a Rock Rose, and we will bury her tomorrow! We are going to clean out her cage, and then donate it to the sspca, where it can hopefully be given to a family wanting to give a budgie a good home. Its less than a year old, and we didn't want it to go to waste, and we thought this would be a good tribute to all of our budgies!
