Custard Apple

This is a Custard Apple, I tasted one for the first time yesterday and today I found this one growing just a couple of metres from my room.
They are apple sized or smaller, and are quite soft, they are in overlaying sections a bit like an artichoke but not sharp.
You open them with your fingers and inside there are segments each containing a small hard black stone. The inside is smooth and not unlike the texture of stewed apple and custard! You put the segments on your mouth and delicately spit out the stone.
They taste sweet and slightly perfumed, rather nice but a lot of hard work! They are also known as sugar apple or sweetsop, and are full of health benefits apparently.
