White Flowering Gum

This beautiful gum with blue green pendulous leaves and creamy blossom has just burst into flower and the bees have moved in to do their thing..
What is really exciting is that this, and my extra, are the very first pics I have taken with my new 300mm lens.  I would never have  believed I could manage as much detail on those bees as I have - then my gorgeous New Holland Honeyeater just sat there for me, because I didn't have to move in to get a decent shot.  Hand held, so not perfect, but I am very very excited as this lens only arrived yesterday and I ventured out somewhat tentatively this morning to try to get a feel for it.  I love it already.
