Felbrigg Church

B and I went for a walk around the Felbrigg (NT) estate today, and visited the church which sits in the NT grounds, although it is not owned by the NT.

Bom's blip shows a spooky tree in the   parkland https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2278992789863664328 but once inside the church, I found these cherubs a bit unsettling too.  I have also included an extra showing the enclosed pews.  The church was largely re-built in the 15th Century but these pews are an 18th Century addition.  The church was once surrounded by Felbrigg village, but the village was relocated (to its present position) following a severe sixteenth century plague outbreak.

Of course we completed the walk with a trip to the NT cafe, and because we are trying to cur down our daily calorie intake we shared a slice of Victoria Sandwich instead of having a whole cake each, it was truly delicious!
