Winter Words

First outing to  the Winter Words festival this morning to hear  Alan Rowan talk about his night-time hill walks - some surreal, some funny and one poignant.  In addition to my many Moonwalks I've done one night-time hill walk - a charity climb of Ben Nevis - and am tempted to another so may venture up Ben Vrackie (extra) this summer at night.

Looking forward to a panel discussion on "What Next For Scotland" this evening and further author events over the next couple of days.

The weather today though is feeling decidedly spring like - we walked back through the woods and there was definite tinge of green emerging. Heard and then spotted one woodpecker.
