Soundscape

As part of an ongoing project with Kelly from Calico Creative in Burnley, we've been filming in Burnley library again. Young people from the area have been working with media professionals to contribute towards a new short animated film about memories.

This group were collecting sounds to use on the film as part of a summer-long 'Soundscape' project, and during todays session they climbed into the town hall bell tower to capture the sound of the bell striking the hour, and recorded running water from a fountain. One of the participants is demonstrating here how they knocked and scraped stones together to make a scratchy sound.
