From the Shipyard

9.6C and mostly dull. Rain forecast. Light to moderate E/ESE/SE breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound slept through until the alarm clock ... amazing that I think that to be significant enough to write it down.

Monkfish from the fish shop today by request of Apothecary7.
Olive oil, salt and pepper, lemon zest, wrapped in bacon. Then oven cook.

After lunch Maeve and I went for the repeat of the morning walking route across the road and round to the park and the harbour and back along through town. BBC Bahrain has sailed.

Once Maeve was back home and settled I went for another walk. I went out to the shipyard. I saw a fishing boat come in through the channel by Davaar island and waited for it to pass the shipyard. It was followed by Viking Caledonia which looked very low in the water, then by another fishing boat.

Podcasts of BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs on the Clip (as I walked):
Roger McGough. English poet, performance poet, broadcaster, children's author and playwright
Ian Hislop. British journalist, satirist, writer, broadcaster and editor of the magazine Private Eye.

Afternoon music ... Supertramp, Breakfast In America, then Crime Of The Century.
