Pieces of cheeses

Last night my girlfriend and I went for the much anticipated cheese and wine night at La Cave A Fromage in Hove. The shop sells a huge selection of cheese which we have purchased from often, but also has a little restaurant at the back which we have never been to before. We selected the "Journey Through Cheese and Wine" which had 3 courses each with its own cheese, meat and specially paired wine. I was really happy because 2 out of the 3 courses were soft cheeses. The middle one was a harder cheese with caramel notes through it which although nice not my cup of tea. The best were definately those soft cheeses though, especially the final blue cheese which came with a chorizo meat that tasted like burnt toffee and bonfire. With each course the waitress gave us the history and story behind the course as well as
guidance on how to enjoy it fully - this included drinking the wine through the cheese! I've never done that before so that was a new experience. Very nice!

We didn't leave with any cheese but I think we will go back for the ewes milk blue cheese from the final course as well as the burnt toffee tasting chorizo. Amazing stuff.
