Newton Mearns Parish Church is the roofline middle right, the white structure is a modern extension to the church built in 2000 as part of a major retail development (not shown) known as The Avenue.

The shop units in view look like an afterthought built to capture customers using The Avenue. They don't appear busy while the main shopping centre is buzzing.
