On the Highveld

A long night's traveling:  a 6-hour scheduled layover in CDG, a productive time, albeit it felt an hour or two too long.  CDG has very good free wifi and it's a nice exception in a major international airport.  Boarding to Johannesburg was delayed (the aircraft was not ready), we then board, sit, wait, ask what's happening, it's a technical problem, about an hour later the captain announces the problem cannot be resolved, we disembark, so does the luggage and the food, and in another hour we leave in another plane.

One compensation of the later arrival was being greeted by this highveld sky, the cloud formation so typical of the later afternoon in summer in these parts.
