Breakfast and Exploring

This is a breakfast for one person at our hotel, £14 per head so I was going to go without and just get something in town! We ordered it last night for delivery at 9.30 and when it arrived there was plenty to share!

Headed off into Edinburgh city centre to explore, went shopping, went to the royal mile, princes street. Stupidly we started at the "bottom" and had to walk up the steepest hill and then 350 steps. My legs were on fire! And it was someone's (mine) bright idea to buy a new frying pan, teapot, 4 big bottles of shampoo and conditioner and then I had to carry all of that extra weight! Needless to say when we got to the top we went straight to the pub for wine and gin! Lunch time drinking is not good for me, I was pretty boozy!

We went for lunch at "oink" a hog roast place, so lush but so tiny and busy so very cramped! A little more walking before heading back to our suite (rich kids) for afternoon tea (more food). By the time we had eaten our sarnies and scones we were stuffed. A couple of episodes of "the Fall", a jacuzzi bubble bath and we are ready for bed.

Off to Edinburgh zoo tomorrow if the weather is decent enough!
