Horse Eye View 3

Terrible photo but it's for the record only. After yesterdays catastrophic navigation went almost the same route today, this time on the Quarter "Rosie". Stuck to well used paths & had no problems. Weather forecast had been for rain & thunderstorms but as it stayed dry ventured out midday. Had wanted to ride to the top of a hill & photograph the alps but as it was cloudy took a slightly lower route. Needless to say at the highest point but still in the forest, the sun came out until we got home. Rosie & I (dressed for rain & thunderstorms) were soaking wet but from sweat. Hence no photo of the alps & no chance in the next few days as we are due to have loads of rain & localised flooding. You'll be pleased there will be no horsey photo for the next day or so.
In the photo it looks as though the terrain is flat. In fact this was a quite steep part. Flash (the dog in front) was at this point at my eye level i.e at least 2 meters higher. I think this track rises about 40 meters in about 300 meters
