It's not black and white

Mr K and Mr K Junior came over for lunch today. Mr K Junior played with Dylan and they developed a deep and meaningful relationship. Mr K got into conversation with Top Gun about religion, beliefs, politics, and Brexit. TSM and I cooked and served up the food.

"Give me one country, apart from America, that has dropped a nuclear warhead"

There were many other ones but I have forgotten them in the tsunami of intellectual discourse ...

Went to see Hidden Figures this evening, talking of it's not black and white ... The story of African American women using their maths and programming skills to help win the space race and overcoming double prejudice ...Very enjoyable film, inevitably cheesy but important - more so with Trump self styling himself as the American Great Dictator and pushing back at women's rights and promoting racism. We need as much powerful drama as possible to counter the alternative facts spewing out of The White House. The simple message is that people want to be respected for what they are, not how we brand them out of ignorance, tradition, fear or prejudice. Go see it.
