Ninekirks

Ninekirks is the local name for St Ninians church Brougham, Cumbria.
I've wanted to visit this local church ever since PaulaJ blipped it a couple of years ago but I didn't really know the location. Today whilst the traffic was crawling along the A66 I spotted the small car park just off the main road. Hurray!!
It really is off the beaten track and located in a lovely location - in the middle of field with a river and sandstone red cliffs surrounding half of it.
Took lots of photos outside but the real beauty is inside - it looks like time has stood still.
