Going Up...

...to Newcastle this morning meant getting up, at 5am to get the first train into Leeds so we could catch our main train.
We pulled into the station bang on time at 8.38am and jumped into a taxi and sped up to the hospital for Mr P's 8.50am appointment.
Soon in to see his consultant and had the first part of the treatment to straighten yet another of his fingers, this time the middle digit on his right hand.
The operation on his left hand three weeks ago is healing nicely, the plastic surgeon has done a good job.
We had a couple years of hours before our train back so we had something to eat and a wander.
We saw this staircase in the student quarter of the city and there was something l liked about it very much but it wasn't easy to photograph.
Decided to give it a sepia effect to show more detail.
We are back in Newcastle on Friday for the second part of the procedure but before then Mr P has to go to the hospital in Leeds for more stitches out and physio on the left hand.
Second week running we've had three hospital appointments.
Home now and Mr P is in bed in a bit of pain and he can't stop shivering, he's a good patient though.
And now my iPad is finally letting me put on extras l've included the original facade of a pub that reminds me what public houses looked like when l was a child.

Can l put this in Mono Monday, my camera is my pet these days, l take it on all my walks!
