Bonehill

I've photographed up here in all sorts of weathers. The first time was in beautiful autumnal sunshine with the bracken looking golden brown. I've seen it with the greens of springtime and I managed to get here once when there was snow on the ground. Today the mist came blowing in as if it was the scene of Grimpen Mire in the 1939 movie of 'Hound of the Baskervilles' with Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes. In my blip you can only see a little bit left on the top of Chinkwell Tor.

I walked up the path you can see in the middle distance  in the fog and it was delightfully moody. My blip was taken on the way back to the car when the weather had brightened somewhat. The moor seems quieter now the half term folks have gone.
