Alexander "Greek" Thomson b 1817 d 1875

He was a prolific Glasgow architect of international stature designing many very distinctive churches villas and terraces in the city using new materials yet in the classical style
He died in the home he lived in and designed at 1 Moray Place a fine terrace of great architectural merit see link here
