Gob

I'm going to be doing a lot of playing and performing in the next 3 weeks so I thought I'd get my French Horn out for a bit of slide greasing and valve oiling.

I checked the music was in order for our Linton Jazz concert next week, and I then went through the part for the Sound of Music.  Although I'm oom-pa-pa-ing for quite a lot of it, there is the odd twiddly bit that I'll probably fluff when it comes to the performance...

Here is a photo of the French Horn mouthpiece.  I'm afraid that gob (oh OK it's mostly condensation) is a fact of life for us brass players, and our instruments need to be regularly emptied of it.  Apologies to those of you of a delicate nature.
