Gannets, gannets and more gannets

Cape Kidnappers put on a stunning day with sun, no wind and lots of gannet action.

You come up round a corner and there they are a few arms lengths away. We all gasped and said wow. We were first up there so very few people in the way. And with a cruise ship in port there were several bus loads heading that way.

Hard to choose today but I have gone for a young bird still being looked after by its parent. Look at the length of its wing. There were still some very tiny chicks which seemed late in the season.
