Elk winter feeding

Today, I went on a trip to the Elk and Bighorn Sheep Feeding stations near Naches. The Department of Fish & Wildlife have been feeding elk and sheep here since the 40's so that orchardists and wildlife can live in harmony. We saw hundreds of elks and quite a few sheep. There were some "late" babies. The babies are usually born in May but four or five in this herd were born in November which makes it challenging for them to survive Spring rains.
