Hobbs's Run

St Bernard's Presbytery

The historic village at Hartley is more significant than many people realise. The public buildings there represent some of the earliest constructed to the west of the Blue Mountains following completion of the first Bathurst road in 1815.  Naturally development closely followed the route but all too few historic sites remain intact today.

Some restoration and maintenance has occurred since I was last at Hartley - so much so that I plan to return a couple of times over the next few weeks to feature more pictures. Parts of the complex are very photogenic indeed and there's been an entirely new river walk constructed. More to come

Oh yes and it's Wideangle Wednesday (widwed68) time again. I only had the one lens with me today and probably went a little overboard - see extras. Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting.
