The simple things

So often we take for granted the simple things in life. Often forgotten and rarely treasured. Living in a foreign country makes you really appreciate those simple little pleasures in life. Things that aren't even possible over here.. well some of them are - but even here they are no longer simple, more like ... 'hard work' ...

a long soak in a bath with a good book
triple J breakfast with hamish and andy
face to face conversation with somebody you love
cookies and cream ice cream
clear blue sky
walks with my dog
a quickie to the local supermarket if the need arises

I could go on and on! But of course I can create new 'simple things' to enjoy here - which will be my goal for this weekend. Appreciating the simple things, just like Tieu Long and his single blade of grass - who knew a blade of grass could bring so much pleasure to someone? Even if it is a bear ;)
