I have consumed books 1 and 2 of the Baby Ganesh Agency by Vaseem Khan. These are set in India and feature a very likeable retired police inspector who inherits a baby elephant. He is finding it hard to settle to retirement and finds his love of solving crime will not switch off just because he has left the job. If you enjoyed the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency books then you will like these, they have the same warmth to the stories and the addition of an insight into Indian culture and politics.
