Doris Day at the nature reserve

It was an exciting day at the nature reserve as storm Doris whistled along the Chiltern escarpment. The hazel catkins were horizontal most of the day, at least those that weren't on the ground! I had to check the sheep and fences and found lots of branches and a few trees had come down. With one particularly fierce gust of wind I watched as two large old willow trees were uprooted - see extra photo. It should be a bit calmer tomorrow and I will venture further into the woods to check how many more trees have come down.
