Work in progress

In a little corner of the village are adjacent properties, one like a lady half made up and the other an old crone way past her best. They have been neighbours for probably 200 years but one has faded fast whilst the second is feeling her years partially lifted by renovation. Like so many properties in small villages across Spain , progress has been halted by austerity. Many of the properties are mortgaged and in negative equity so people walk away and park their dreams for another day. Something really fresh and new are the pretty little narcissi on the bank opposite.
