Crazy About Birds

Tenorio Volcano Falls

We walked about a mile or so up a trail on Tonerio Volcano - in a National Park - and then down an amazing set of concrete steps - down, down, down to see this fantastic waterfall today. The railings are made of concrete as well - made to look like bent wood. Of course, once we were down there we had to walk back UP the steps. But it was entirely worth it. The color of the water has something to do with minerals and the optical effect of... I don't know. Google it.

Only two more days of adventure and then we drive back to San José on Monday, and I fly home on Tuesday. Sad!

But tomorrow - the fun continues. And we move to a  new lodge. This one - Celeste Mountain Lodge - has been just wonderful!
