My Cousin, The Martian

Cassie Stuurman found a massive amount of ice on Mars. She is part of a team poking around data from the red planet as part of her doctoral geology studies. It made headlines around the world last year and this month she's profiled in Chatelaine, a Canadian magazine. Cassie is the daughter of my cousin Pat and his wife Kathy. They, like all of us in the family, are very proud of her accomplishments.
