055 — Pedal Faster

In preparation for this weekends bike ride I've switched the pedals on my hybrid bike from flats to SPDs for efficiency. A quick blip of these.

I will be using the hybrid bike for the road ride as it's easier on my back than the cheaper road bike I have, much more reliable too. This is offset by the additional weight though which is not insignificant.

No proper training once again, when we were not ill or had previous commitments then I was on baby duty. Or too knackered to even fetch my bike from the shed. Enough excuses, hopefully I will manage to drag myself out of bed and then later across the finish line.

Wish me luck, I may need it.
