The Red River

Its not very red looking this evening.
It has been a day of site work, office work and errands.

Inverness Caley Thistle have had a miserable season so far; lots of good displays but not defending well enough and this has seen them planted to the botton of the table. There has been some encouragement from recent better performances and tonight they were playing one of the big Glasgow teams. The Glasgow team, despite a much higher league position, are not without their problems; very public acrimony over the sacking of their first team coaching staff and just one win in their last seven games. I feel sympathy for their stand in manager, a junior coach, who looks well out of his comfort zone presently.
Caley took the lead before half time, conceded a penalty goal in the second half. The opposing goalkeeper had an excellent string of saves from Caley attacks, including one from a penalty, but was unable to block a spectacular overhead shot for Caley's last minute winner.
The win (against the odds) took them off the bottom of the table and brought great happiness to the home town support.
