Science Museum, Manchester

Mrs BR plus entourage (Victoria shown) visited the amazing Science Museum in Manchester city centre.
Victoria was delighted as a pigeon joined them for lunch....one is fine but others are watching the reaction from the rooftops and soon you are joined by a flock....not quite so nice!
Manchester really is a very cool city these days with lots to do.
Victoria loved it, because in the museum, there were many "hands on" exhibits which you could enjoy....not like the old museums where everything is hidden behind protective glass. There was even a working steam train.
So, a very memorable time for all though, we think Victoria's biggest excitement of the trip was her second journey in a train.
Reminds me of my first journey on a train which was also in Manchester....it was a steam train and I remember it like yesterday...the smell of smoke, steam and grubby upholstery plus the evocative chuffing sound as the engine gathered speed.
Manchester city centre was a very different place then, rather scruffy and I thought, rather Dickensian...times have really changed.
Enjoy your weekend blippers
