Running low

Almost hit by a reindeer

This is the last of this sun and light theme for this week, i promise. This picture I just had to take as a proof that sun actually is above horizon for a few hours around here.

What comes to the reindeer, we just got a reminder that it's the most ethic meat you can get from Finland. They run around the Lapland and North-Eastern Finland unbounded and are only once a year gathered together. Meanwhile they roam free, mothers with calfs eating whatever grows around. We met one of these.

This particular reindeer was wondering about at our cottage road minding it's business and totally ignoring our car, just running against us. Luckily it swerved around us while we were halt and was saved from it's final destiny, saucéed reindeer, a local treat.

Too bad the gourmet game restaurant was out of reindeer today and we had to settle with saucéed wild boar.
