Hard at work

Just to prove I haven't been idling during my short blip break. We got back on Thursday evening, Friday was unpacking, doing washing, baking cake, weekend was choir practice. It was exhausting but we have done the whole programme now, I like it better than last year's and we have five, yes five concerts lined up!

This afternoon was an open rehearsal where the locals were invited to listen with the incentive of cake and wine afterwards, so I was aiming to take photos. Sum total of the audience: an elderly lady and a little boy who left after half an hour, and three former choir members. We took an early break and ate most of the cake. Then the mayor turned up (well, he had to really). Luckily there was enough left for him.

The drive back from Spain was done under the Saharan dust cloud covering Spain and southern France -- a gloomy, uncharacteristic haze. Yesterday and today were lovely though, if a trifle chilly. We are gradually settling back in.
