Sweet Violet

After dropping Ben, I explored an area west of Greatford, a seemingly rather ordinary piece of countryside that revealed hidden treasures on close examination. The treasures included swathes of naturalised snowdrops, sweet violets, primroses, a small group of spring snowflake (probably planted but now looking quite at home in their woodland) and the rather odd little flowers of butcher's-broom. This sweet violet was a particularly intense purple with a perfume to match - I just wish you could smell it too!
