Journey's end

A long day, but the end is in sight.

First stop was Treuchtlingen - 45 minutes north of "home base". Lunch with D's mum as a prelude to D viewing a couple of houses with her. Lunch was wonderful - a veal & chanterelle ragout in the (rather ordinary looking) Stuben across the street.

Then late afternoon back into the car for the 3 hour trip south to Murnau - close to the Alps.

After a frustrating journey made longer by a couple of diversions for roadworks, the first sight of the Alps was great. Almost there!

The Blip was an experiment. Taken with the iPhone through the car windscreen while belting along the Munich to Garmisch Partenkirchen Autobahn at close to 180 kph. That's about 100mph.
