subi cool...

... and this in the atrium of my 'French girls' home from home here in the West for a fortnight.

Named for Subiaco in Italy by a group of benedictine monks who settled in the area and called their monastery New Subiaco.
'The monks planted olive trees and fruit orchards in the neighbourhood for their use. An olive branch is symbolised on the City of Subiaco coat of arms and is an integral part of the city's identity. The city continues to plant olive trees to acknowledge their historical significance.'

A very cool suburb and no cooler place will there be  tomorrow evening when Adele will hold 65000 adoring fans in the palm of her hand at Subi Oval.
Clever girls have a table booked at a little bistro where they may well hear her beautiful voice in the warm Perth night as they sip their evening cocktails.
