Kangaroo

Coming home from badminton training in suburban Red Hill at night, from the. corner of her eye, Indu spotted a kangaroo hopping out on to the road. She called out for Nick to stop the car. He slammed on the brakes and managed to slow down to a crawl. Still the kangaroo skimmed the front headlight, but luckily wasn't hurt and hopped back into the nature reserve.

At the moment, there are many kangaroos out all around the neighborhoods of Canberra which has many open spaces and parklands. Accidents are common some causing serious injuries to both the humans and also the 'roos.

The kangaroos have been around here long before the city emerged or large numbers of people showed up.

We are actually in their way.
