Galanthus nivalis

As a child I remember seeing snowdrops all the time at this time of year, but in recent years I've hardly noticed them at all. I suppose it may be a bonus of owning a dog and getting out into nature a lot more that I've already seen a lot this year - here are some from today's walk. My use of the Latin name in the heading is in honour of my Dad, who knows the Latin name to pretty much every flower and plant in the country!
