The sun made a brief appearance

It looked as if it could be a beautiful day this morning so we  decided to take advantage of it.  Our intention was to go further afield but we took the safer option of not travelling far just in case the weather changed.  Wise decision.  This is the River Welland at Stamford where we enjoyed a stroll among the beautiful old buildings and a very pleasant lunch before leaving the chilly wind and heading home as the sun disappeared.
